How to authenticate your email domain on Cliniq Apps

To scan incoming emails for spam or deceived addresses, Internet Service Providers (ISPs), such as Google, Microsoft, and Yahoo, use DKIM and SPF authentication. Emails that fail this authentication end up in the spam or junk folder.

To help ensure your Cliniq Apps’ campaigns reach your patient’ inboxes, you can now set up your DKIM and SPF authentication for your domain. Although this domain authentication is optional, it will provide a trackable identifier that shows your patients’ ISP that you are a legitimate sender, and it helps your campaign arrive in the inbox.

To achieve this domain authentication, you'll need to complete tasks in Cliniq Apps and your domain provider's zone editor or cPanel. This process requires you to copy and paste information from Cliniq Apps to your domain provider's site (you may need the help of your website admin).

How does it work?

First, go to your Settings.

Under Clinic Settings click on Email Domain.

Type your domain name and click on SAVE.

You’ll then get 3 records: DKIM, Email and SPF in Cliniq Apps.

Now navigate to your domain provider's site and update these records in your DNS records (by copying them from Cliniq Apps and paste them in your DNS records on your domain provider’s site)  Note: domain providers use different names for the page where you'll update the DNS record, like cPanel, Zone Editor, Zone File Settings, Manage Domains, Domain Manager, DNS Manager, or something similar.

DNS Records in Common Domain Providers

The links below will give you the instructions for editing DNS records in the most popular domain providers. If your service isn't listed here, log in to your provider's site and search their help documents, or contact their customer support team.

Amazon Web Services: Configuring DNS, Resource Record Types

Dreamhost: SPF, DKIM

Google Domains: DNS Basics

Namecheap: SPF & DKIM

After entering the three records into your DNS correctly, your domain should authenticate.

To complete the process, click on Authenticate in Cliniq Apps.

Then switch on the button.
