How to Set Up Your AI-Powered Waitlist in Cliniq Apps

Managing a waitlist can be a real challenge — juggling cancellations, calling patients one by one, and trying to fill last-minute gaps. On average, clinics lose up to 20% of potential bookings every month due to unfilled cancellations.

To use the AI powered Waitlist, you must first have an active AI powered number set up in Cliniq Flows. The Waitlist relies on this number to send and receive SMS confirmations from patients.

Once your AI powered number is ready, you must also activate AI Communications. To do this, go to:

Cliniq Flows > Settings & Preferences > AI > Configure

Then tick the Enable AI Communications box.

If you already have an active AI powered number and AI Communications enabled, you may skip this section and proceed with the Waitlist setup.

Step 1: Enable Waitlist in Cliniq Flows

Enable the Waitlist feature inside Cliniq Flows to activate AI matching and automated notifications.

Before adding patients, make sure to install the widget by clicking the link below.
Without this, you won’t be able to add patients to your Waitlist.

👉 Install the Communication Center Widget

📌 Important: The widget only works on Chrome and Brave browsers.

📌 Note: We don’t pull patients from your practice management software’s internal waitlist. The AI reads only the waitlist created through the Cliniq Apps widget.

Once set up, Cliniq Apps will automatically:

✅ Notify the right patients when a slot opens
✅ Use AI to confirm appointments instantly when a patient replies “Yes”
✅ Stop sending messages once the slot is filled — preventing double bookings
