As a practice manager it's essential to keep an eye on your rate of patient acquisition.
Your new patient ratio should not be too high as it means that you are heavily relying on new patients, a risky strategy for long term growth. Acquiring a new patient costs you about 5x more than retaining one.

Using Cliniq Apps Dashboards, you can track the changes with a few clicks for each of your practitioners.

In the following example, you can see that the practice in place has a New Patient Ratio of 68.42% in 2019. A considerable percentage.

This can be due to many reasons such as:

  • The practice has recently (in 2019) changed to a new practice management software that is not recognizing old patients, making them new ones.

  • The practice is growing fast and hiring new practitioners who are then contributing in the increase of new patients coming to the practice.

  • The practice is only focusing on generating new patients and not being able to retain old patients.
