Send your patients messages just after booking is made

Follow the instructions below to ensure that your patients will receive a message shortly after booking their appointments. This is recommended if the patient's appointment is more than a month ahead of time.

Messages: Create one SMS or Email

You may use the script below:

Hi {FIRSTNAME},


Thank you for booking with Your Clinic Name.
Your Next Appt is {NEXT_START} with
{NEXT_PROVIDER_FIRSTNAME} {NEXT_PROVIDER_LASTNAME}
Please make sure to reserve this time in your calendar.
We look forward to see you then.

2. Click on Automation Rules and Click on New Automations

Then:

  1. Name the Automation for your reference.

  2. Select unsubscription category

  3. Select unsubscription automation type. For information about automation categorization and type click HERE.

  4. Select the iteration of the automation

  5. Click Continue to proceed to the next steps

Click the SELECT button and choose Patients with Appointments

Select the clinic location and click the and button

Then choose their appointment

And set it to less than 12 months remain before next appointment then click the then button to proceed to the next steps.

Select communicate with patient -> send sms/email -> select the sms/email that you created

Then set it to 15 minutes later

When you activate this automation, all your patients who have an appointment within 12 months from the time the appointment was booked in your practice management software will receive the message in the next 15 minutes.
