This article will give you an overview of the 2 main functions of Kiosk

Your Kiosk is an app that you can save on your iPad or tablet. It is a self-service app that allows your patients to complete the process at their convenience and pace. It has 2 main functions as shown below.

CHECK IN

This feature is for patients who have arrived at the clinic on the day of their appointment. The functions of this feature are as follows.

  1. It puts the appointment in Cliniko automatically ARRIVED.

  2. If the appointment requires a patient form, it can detect if your patient has filled your automated patient form or not. 

  3. If the patient hasn't filled the form it will give the patient an option to select where they want to fill it up. On your iPad, send as an SMS or email (this depends on which contact detail is available on their profile in Cliniko).

Important reminders:

  • The appointment should NOT be more than 1 hour from the time they are checking in.

WALK IN

This feature is for a patient who arrived at the clinic and needs an appointment on that day. The functions of this feature are as follows.

  1. It will let your patient choose which appointment they can book.

  2. It automatically BOOKS the appointment in Cliniko's diary.

3. If the appointment requires a patient form, it can detect if your patient has filled your automated patient form or not (this for an existing patient in Cliniko).

4. If the patient hasn't filled the form it will give the patient an option to select where they want to fill it up. On your iPad, send as an SMS or email (this depends on which contact detail is available on their profile in Cliniko).
